When we sleep,
We turn off the world.
We put work on Pause.
We tune out the children.
We take yesterday and make it today.
We forget who we are, only for a few hours.
We let our thoughts take over.
Soaring into the abyss of our subconscious,
We dabble in the thoughts of the unfamiliar.
Once a good girl, turns into a villain.
The evil boy turns into the saint.
There are those who dream the unimaginable.
Twisted homes and floating utensils.
There are those who dream the realistic.
Going to work and feeding the children.
Some fall from cliffs,
Some fall into worlds of eerie creatures.
Our mind is a machine, capable of making us crazy.
Keeping our dreams within the realms of sanity is uncertain.
Do not dwell on the movies of your sleep.
Let them flow, let them shine, let them flourish.
Sleep not in fear, but in peace.
